About Public Seating Project

The Public Seating Project, (PSP), is a privately sponsored organization whose mission lies in making art more accessible to the public. The PSP invites artists and architects to design for its "Art in Utility" collection in bronze. It is the goal of the PSP that publicly placed works of art, both interactive and functional, will encourage the public's enjoyment of art through incorporating artistic works into their daily lives.

Art is a part of our daily lives. We are surrounded by artistic expression and we accept it as part of our culture. Art is everywhere, from the design of a soda pop can to a billboard, an automobile or a magazine. The PSP expands this concept by inviting the public to sit down, relax, reflect and interact with its collection of bronze functional art.

PSP places artistic bronze work in public spaces such as airports, fine hotels, museums, theatres, and any other arena where the artist's voice can be seen and heard through artistic expression.

My contribution to the Public Seating Project is in creating artistically distinctive and functionally interactive bronze pieces.

The line and form of my work has been inspired by my extensive travel throughout the United States as well as abroad. My philosophy of designing artwork in bronze is to enhance public space and create dialogue between art and observer.
